What a Wacky Week

What a week, what a time, what a journey. God i sound a little like Bono there, feckin edjit. Anyways hello hello, thought i would call in and let everyone know how things are going. Last Saturday i left jolly old England for home in Germany not only just to see Juli, but also to attend her “propedeuse”. Maybe your wondering what that is, well let me explain. For all first year dutch students who pass their first year exams they get award with an end of year type of graduation, and this is called the “propeduese”. The propedeuse on its own is pretty worthless, its just sort of a mini reward for getting through what they call the hardest year. The graduation was this Friday just gone past. It was in really nice settings, the lecturers even got all dressed up for it but everything was in dutch, and i, who was standing at the back for two hours just because the place was soo full, didnt understand a single word, except “spice girls”, and dont ask me how that came into it. You can see a small clip from the ceremoney here if youd like. Anyways, she recieved the award gracefully as one might say and it made her day. It kinda made my day to, im a real sucker for these day out kinda things. After the presentation we went out to our favourite little bar, got something to eat and the headed home for the night with the aim to go to a Greek Restaurent in our town.
One other major thing that happened during the week, was that i quit smoking. Now for some that im sure doesnt seem like a big thing, but for me it really is. It means i have gotten rid of the last vice. Ive been off alcohol now for about 5 years, off drugs for about 4 years and now smokes. I am T bloody total, and loving it….so far ;). I was walking around town today getting some bits and bobs and for the first time in a long time, i felt really happy to be walking around. I felt healthy, fit, cleaner even if that makes sense. I am coughing like mad though these days, and im told that is normal for anyone who just gave up. Fingers crossed i can stay away from those vices that kept knocking me down for years.

Photos are kool, nice and shiny and should have their own place. Naked Bones is also back up and running. Its like my test site, and bullshit site where i just blurp out a lot of stuff. Here is for more thought out things :) For those of you who are die hard fans of flickr, then youll be happy to hear that photoneil has made its way on there too, so you can browse for hours through my life via the photos i upload. Give me time though to get them all uploaded ;)
