A new Saint

Those were the words uttered by the priest who this week christened baby Ashton. I spent a great few days in Ireland with my family as we celebrated a moment we all thought we would never see but thankfully did. It was a very private day and so dont think I want to write about it, but here are a few photos from the day.

The end of an era | Going home!

This really is the end of an era, the death of Michael Jackson. The man was in many ways at times “off the wall” but he was undoubtably the king of pop. R.I.P.

Other news, I’m going home tomorrow, to Ireland that is, for the christening of Aston my nephew. Looking forward to seeing him again. Ill be offline like I always am for the next few days, a refreshing break from computers and the net. :)

My Mug Shot

This photo is famous in my family, for so many reasons. My mum didn’t know that the kindergarten I was attending were taking photos so she sent me in to class that day with that horrible blue jumper.

I also have this great expression on my face that says “why the f**k are you taking a photo of me?” Thats why we call it the prison photo, it has mug shot written all over it.

This photo was taken in 1986

Flickr Favorites #2

I have really been getting into my photography, spent the best part of two days messing with my SLR to get the settings just right. On flickr there is just so many amazing works, here are a few that really caught my eye.

Working on a really important…nothing.

I passed my exams…yeah! Just thought I’d get that in there, get it out of the way. What does that mean? It means I can go into my third year to hopefully finish on a high. What else have I been doing…hmm let me think, god you know nothing much. I have been getting ready to go to Ireland for Ashton’s christening which will be taking place on Sunday, but before that I have a birthday to go to, meet for lunch with friends, get a haircut, get a new suit, have shave and then sleep. I have also been doing some work around the tech side of things…lots to do and all too $. This is my view for most of the day…

Blogging isn’t worth doing unless you really want to do it, I guess thats what I have been thinking about over the last while. Its also why I dont sit down and post lots of stuff everyday, my life just isnt that interesting.

In an attempt to become more creative I have finally sat down determined to start learning my favorite computer language from the ground up. Ive always been able to edit, chop and move around chunks of code but never really new how to do it from the ground up, to really get the most out of it. Instead of always thinking and day dreaming of creating something people will like, I think its better to take your time, learn and do things when you want to and always have fun when doing it. Hopefully something later down the line will come into frutition.

A Break in Deventer

Me taking a...moment.

German Trabbies Cathedral

With it being a public holiday here and in Holland we decided to take a small day trip to a town called Deventer in Holland. Sadly as soon as we arrived and sat down to drink something it started to rain so we didnt get to see much and it killed the mood, big time. What we did see was great, seems like a really interesting old style city. Maybe we will get to go there again soon.

I know…let’s call it Bing
